Scrap Copper and Scrap Aluminum

America has had somewhat of a boom of scrap yards selling ferrous and non ferrous metals such as copper and aluminum for many years now. Currently we are seeing some of the highest scrap copper prices and scrap aluminum prices that the USA has ever seen. While it is extremely difficult to measure these prices over the short term, we do expect them to continue to rise in future years and think that it is an excellent way for people to make money if they ever find themselves short of cash. In fact, it’s such a good way that some states have recorded incredibly large numbers of people stealing pieces of scrap metal from houses and business across them. This is clearly a sign of how good this industry is to get into today and that scrap metal prices are going to keep on increasing too.

The thing is, there is a shortage of mined metals and an incredibly high demand for scrap metal to be recycled. As a result scrap yards throughout America are paying really good money for your copper or aluminum today. It’s actually not that hard to find yourself some of this metal either, it’s absolutely everywhere and is in complete abundance too. I think that many people are put off by the idea of having to weigh it all up and then take it to a scrap yard, however they will have to dispose of the metal somehow anyway and so it’s definitely worth the extra little bit of research that will pay extremely well. It always surprises me how short sighted people can be at times, if there is money to be had in the scrap metal industry then you should be doing absolutely everything possible to get your hands on it, surely? I personally have managed to accumulate a tidy sum of around ten thousand dollars in the past year or so, how I can hear you all asking? Well, it really was as simple as checking the internet scrap copper prices one day and finding out just how much I had of the metal. It turned out I had around $250 worth and so it was clearly worth taking to a dealer that day, later when I returned home I immediately set upon finding out if I had anything else in the house worth selling. This search proved to be extremely fruitful as I managed to find another $1,000 worth in less than an hours time. I can’t stress enough how easy it is to make this sort of money when you’re dealing with copper, aluminum or steel. These metals are worth so much money and you can get your hands on similar sums of cash if you spend only a few hours a week searching either in or around your house. Let me know how you all get on in the comments section below this post, I’m genuinely intrigued.
